A new CryptoCurrency is making its way onto the scene simply called PI (not PiCoin which is now an inactive currency) https://minepi.com/










PI has been created by a team of Stanford graduates who wish to take all the ideals of a distributed blockchain-based currency and make it accessible to the everyday individual.

PI is obtainable without huge amounts of crypto mining equipment those reducing both the financial investment and the large scales of energy required by more traditional Crypto mining methods, at writing this Bitcoins estimated energy consumption is around 73.12 Thera Watt Hours.

Creating PI is mobile-friendly in fact the only way to mine pi is through a mobile app that only needs to be activated a minimum of once per 24hrs. Ones that is done you can simply close that app and it won't drain your battery or reduce your overall battery/phone operating life like some mining apps.

The website looks clean and professional and not covered in adds for PTC's or faucets and has an easy feeling about

From personal experience with the app, I can highly recommend that entering a referral name is the way to go with as it will help with improving that amount you mine per hour straight away and when you come to creating your security circle. It would really help me out if you would use the referral name geeus81 when you signup. 

The app requires your mobile phone number even if you signup through facebook you will need to verify your number later. This is needed as part of the network and for later on adding people to your security circle which helps to increase your earning rate.

This currency is currently in its very early stage so as if this moment PI has zero value in the real world but so did Bitcoin when it first appeared in 2008. 

From my point of view, PI is a good time investment for those who are looking for a cryptocurrency with a different attitude to ownership and economics. The currency eventual goal is to be traded openly at which point we will see it's worth.
